"So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." —Genesis 1:27 (English Standard Version)
From the beginning, God intentionally made two genders—ONLYTWO.
Here at TruthOnYou, we agree with our Creator that there are only two genders, only two sexes: Male and female, man and woman. This is how God created humankind, each and every one of us. And it is good and to be celebrated and embraced.
Man and woman, though made to be different, were both created in the image of God. Neither is more valuable or more important. Each gender is different and has a distinct role to play in glorifying God. Our wise God did this intentionally; we ought to recognize and embrace these differences.
God created a very distinct difference between male and female in our very genetics. In the nucleus of every cell in the human body, there are 23 pairs of chromosomes (making 46 chromosomes total). The first 22 chromosome pairs, known as autosomes, determine all of the characteristics of a human—all characteristics except gender. That brings us to the last two chromosomes in the 23rd pair; these chromosomes determine the gender of the human. Men will have an X chromosome and a Y chromosome. On the other hand, women will have two X chromosomes. These are the only two possible outcomes for the 23rd pair: male or female.
We proudly wear XXXY, not to be controversial or stir up a fight, but to recognize, celebrate, and embrace God's purpose and design. Male and female He created us.
